Marika Stephens was born and raised in San Francisco and currently lives in Los Angeles. Born the daughter of a mad scientist-artist-inventor father, and a ferryboat deckhand mother, she had no choice but to turn out the way she did. Art and creativity were always central to her childhood and has carried her through to where she is today.
Since graduating from UCLA with a degree in Theater Design, Marika has designed numerous plays, operas, and consistently Art Directs for the film & television industry.
Marika began her career on network shows such as The Event and Awake (NBC) and Gang Related (Fox). Soon after, she earned her way into the Art Directors Guild as an Assistant Art Director on Stalker (CBS).
Currently she works as an Art Director in both TV and Film. Her latest projects include: I Am Not Okay With This (NETFLIX), SEAL TEAM (CBS), The Girlfriend Experience (STARZ).
